St Andrews Timber & Building Supplies, previously known as Timber & Plywood Services, is one of the largest independent timber and builders merchants in the central belt of Scotland. Covering Paisley, Renfrewshire, Greater Glasgow and across Scotland we pride ourselves on our speedy delivery and cutting services.
We aim to be a one stop shop allowing both our Trade and Retail customers to purchase everything they need under one roof from simple DIY to doing an extension to building your dream home.

Affordable Autumn is here! Summer is coming to a close unfortunately. Don’t worry though, our promotion ‘Affordable Autumn’ will be sure to brighten up the darker nights! Choosing the right colours and styles for your home is tough to say the least. We think our acoustic wall panels make a great pairing with the ELKA flooring options. There are 4 colours on offer in both the wall panels and flooring. We would suggest the following pairing: dark grey acoustic wall panels with Luna flooring. The dark tones of the dark grey wall panel is offset beautifully by the lighter, silvery undertones of the Luna flooring. There are other colour pairings that work great together; but the Dark Grey/Luna pairing is our favourite!
Acoustic Wall Panels- Why & What?
Acoustic Wall panels are a cracking new product that can transform your living space. The wall panels are particularly effective when used as part of a media wall setup; alongside a television, gaming setup or sound system. They add a modern look to an otherwise plain and uninspiring wall space. They are also acoustic, which means sound proof! This is a further benefit above the contemporary aesthetics of the panels, meaning when put behind a television or sound system, they reduce any noise spillage.
DMQ & Fence Panels!
Our 6ft x 6ft fence panels are a lovely natural brown colour and are great for adding a bright border to your front or back garden. A great accompaniment to these is our Douglas Muir Quartz (DMQ) decorative chips. The DMQ chips have a mixture of golds, whites browns and grey undertones. This mix of colours works great to offset the bright and natural look of the fence panels.
There is plenty to choose from and some great pairings here, don’t hesitate!

Our door & floor ranges are now bigger & better than ever! With expanding to a 4th depot, located in Livingston- we have introduced our biggest showroom yet! We now have over 200 door & floor variants to choose from! An extensive and easy to navigate showroom is home to these 200+ variants- and we’d love to show you around. Our Livingston depot’s showroom is impressive, we must not be modest here! However, each of our 4 depots throughout Edinburgh, Livingston & Paisley have a purpose-built and extensive showroom. Regardless of which depot you visit, you will have full access to our huge range of doors & floors👍.

There is plenty others to look at. In terms of flooring: from engineered hardwoods, through to UV oiled, lacquered, solid hardwoods, and cheaper ‘click in’ alternatives. There is also water-proof flooring options, should you choose flooring for your kitchen or bathroom project. In terms of doors: there are solid fire-doors, glass options, sliding wardrobe doors, external front-doors, various different types of hardwood doors- with as many styles to match! The best course of action would be, popping in to our showrooms to view the ranges! There’s nothing like viewing and visualising the options for yourself. See below for suggestions from the editor!

Some lovely options to take a look at in flooring from our Unilin range (other ranges are available):
- Brushed oak beige (which is a silvery brown oak flooring- great to brighten up a room)
- Cambridge oak natural (a dark brown mahogany colour- very contemporary)
- Honey brown oak (a subtle, light brown colour- great for the entrance to a house or in a hallway)
Some lovely options to take a look at in doors from XL Joinery (other ranges are available):
- Oak Suffolk (light brown, inoffensive internal door sporting vertical contours running up the length of the door)
- Oak Salerno clear glazed (Mahogany coloured oak door, with crescent shaped glass running up the centre of the door- great for the entrance to a kitchen)
- Victorian 4-panel white softwood door (For those who prefer a white primed finish as opposed to a wood finish- great for brightening up a room in the house)
